Privacy policy

This policy explains how DB Scouting Intelligence processes information submitted through dbscouting.com and the technical data used to measure website traffic.

Data controller

DB Scouting Intelligence — contact: contact@dbscouting.com.

Contact forms and sample-report requests

When you submit a recruitment need or request a sample report, we may collect your identity, role, organisation, professional contact details, country, main market, professional website/profile and the content of your request.

This information is used to answer your enquiry, verify the professional nature of a sample-report request, prepare a commercial discussion and follow up the contact. Depending on the request, processing is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request and/or DB Scouting’s legitimate interest in managing professional relationships. It is not sold.

Form enquiries are kept for up to 24 months in the enquiry system unless longer retention is required for a contractual relationship or legal obligation.

First-party audience measurement

DB Scouting uses an internal audience-measurement system hosted with the website and no third-party advertising analytics service. It records viewed pages, language, referring domain, UTM campaign parameters when present and device category. To estimate visitors and sessions, a pseudonymised fingerprint is calculated server-side from technical connection information. The raw IP address is not stored in the audience log.

The system uses no advertising cookie and does not track browsing across other websites. It is based on DB Scouting’s legitimate interest in understanding website traffic and improving the website. Traffic data is retained for a maximum of 180 days. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are respected, and you can object to this measurement below.

Your choice

You can disable audience measurement on this browser. A local preference is then stored only to remember your choice.

Google Analytics (optional)

Google Analytics is loaded only if you select “Accept” in the audience-measurement banner. If you reject it, the tag is not loaded. After acceptance, the browsing and technical information processed depends on the features and settings of DB Scouting’s Google Analytics property. Google may process this data under its own terms and privacy rules. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage and can be changed here.

External resources

The website uses Google Fonts for its typography. Loading these fonts may result in a technical connection to Google servers. Google Analytics is enabled only after your choice, as described above.

Recipients and hosting

Enquiries are intended for the DB Scouting team and the website is hosted by OVH SAS in France. Internal audience measurement is processed by the website; after acceptance, Google Analytics measurement data is also sent to Google under the property settings.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your data, and exercise other rights applicable to your situation, by emailing contact@dbscouting.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
